Imagine wanting to start a business and every investor you have a meeting with declines your request. Nobody believes in you. You finances are going to shit. That’s what happened to Matthew McConaughey in the upcoming movie for Gold. Except, he found someone who would hear him out and the two hit the jackpot.
Set in 1988 and based on true events, McConaughey’s character sails for Indonesia in search of gold. Right when they thought it was a burnt mission, they strike a landmine.
Next thing you know, they’re billionaires sitting on so much money they don’t even know what to do with it. Then their gravy train is derailed by terrorists who deebo’d the whole operation. The trailer ends with someone asking “And the only question I’m left with is, how does 17 billion dollars disappear overnight.” If that isn’t a thought that brings you heartache when it didn’t even happen to you, just think of how it felt for the people who actually went through this ordeal.
The Stephen Gaghan-directed film is set to hit theaters this Christmas.
