First person shooters are some of the most popular video games that come out on the regular, but picture it mixed with Grand Theft Auto and adding a real human element to it. That’s what you’re getting with Hardcore, the movie. The whole thing is shot from the first person perspective and it’s a teaspoon of virtual reality with a cup full of Liam Neeson action thriller.
The film just made its TIFF debut over the weekend and it’s directed by Russian director Ilya Naishuller. The trailer takes you into what feels like a plot on Call of Duty, of a part man/part machine person that is highly sought after and how he dodged being captured.
“You remember nothing. Mainly because you’ve just been brought back from the dead by your wife (Haley Bennett). She tells you that your name is Henry and congratulations, you’re now a cyborg”
Considering we’ve never watched a first person movie like this besides “Bad Motherfucker,” the music video, so this is intriguing as fuck and a must watch.
