Even with the likes of Mick Jagger, Martin Scorsese and Terence Winter behind it, Vinyl can’t find a lifeline. HBO has cancelled the 1970s music show after just one season, with the network completely scrapping plans for the renewal of a second season, which was originally announced in April.
HBO said:
“After careful consideration, we have decided not to proceed with a second season of Vinyl. Obviously, this was not an easy decision. We have enormous respect for the creative team and cast for their hard work and passion on this project.”
Looks like a coked up Bobby Cannavale and naked Olivia Wilde won’t be on our screens anytime soon.
