This weekend while watching your favorite show on HBO, you may have caught a teaser to the upcoming limited series Big Little Lies. What first caught our attention is the fact that so many movie stars were in it. Seriously, Reese Witherspoon, Nicole Kidman, Shailene Woodley, Adam Scott and Zoë Kravitz are all in it. Not to mention it’s created by David E. Kelley (Chicago Hope, Ally McBeal, Boston Public) and directed by Jean-Marc Vallée (Dallas Buyers Club, Wild).
There are not much details on the plot line as of yet, but it is based on the Liane Moriarty novel of the same name. In the novel, three mothers meet on the first day of kindergarten and become friends subsequently. All with their own problems, the three connect the dots about a deadbeat father, one ends her abusive relationship and things end tragically for one family. Luckily, the widowed wife made the best out of the situation following.
The limited series will air on HBO in 2017.
