Vinyl officially arrives in 2016!
One of the more anticipated shows we’ve been patiently waiting for is HBO’s Vinyl. Set in 1970s New York, the new series directed by Martin Scorsese, Mick Jagger, and Terence Winter will tell the story of record executive Richie Finestra. You obviously know Scorsese and Jagger; but Winter (show runner of the series) has long-standing work with HBO from his executive producer roles for both The Sopranos and Boardwalk Empire.
Bobby Cannavale (previously Boardwalk Empire and Ant-Man) stars as Richie Finestra, who’s trying to resurrect his label and find the next new sound. With the city being a melting pot for punk, disco, and hip-hop, Finestra must maintain his soul in the sex and drug addicted business, without destroying insiders in his path.
Take a look at the mini-teaser above and look for the series premiere in 2016.
