Over the course of the past few weeks, we’ve been seeing a lot of commercials for upcoming HBO series. One of the shows that has been getting a lot of screen time is The Young Pope. It’s actually a global series, which has already premiered in Italy, France and the United Kingdom prior to the United States. U.S. viewers will be able to watch the show on January 15, 2017.
The series stars Diane Keaton and Jude Law and follows the life of Lenny Belardo (aka Pius XIII), the first American Pope in history.
By the way the trailer paints it, he’s about to cause havoc on the Vatican and pretty much destroy the ways of the Catholic church in one fell swoop. And a lot of kissing of his ring.
