Only days following the 2-hour season premiere of Vinyl on February 14, HBO has green lit the renewal of the show. The Martin Scorcese and Mick Jagger music period drama follows a declining label who is desperate to get back into the top ranks of the music world at the start of the disco, rock and roll and hip-hop revolution. Asistants are trying to climb up the ranks and get notoriety from inside the company, deals are being made to sell and everyone is out to discover that next big act.
Considering how good the debut was, we’re going to be keeping an eye out for the rest of the season, which promises plenty of drugs, sex and Dame Dash-type spazz outs.
