Watch the official first trailer for ‘Hitman: Agent 47’
Square Enix’s Hitman video game series once again returns to theaters later this year. Eight years ago, the first movie spin-off installment hit theaters and was met with a positive reception. Being longtime fans of the series, we didn’t feel like the film-adaption generated the excitement we enjoyed in the early 2000s on PlayStation.
Luckily, the studios have a shot at redeeming themselves, with the release of Hitman: Agent 47. Unlike the first film, which starred Timothy Olyphant, Rupert Friend takes over his reigns for Agent 47. In debut trailer above, the upcoming spy-thriller film is jam-packed with tons of action; from an initial calm interrogation that goes wrong, leading to many explosions and a helicopter crashing into an office building.
Whether or not Agent 47 is able to fend off those in pursuit of Katia van Dees before she unravels family mysteries remains to be seen, but you can get get a glimpse of the film arriving to theaters this August 28, 2015.
