21 years after Ice Cube’s single “It Was A Good Day” was released, Goodyear finally bit the bullet and put him on a blimp. Unfortunately it didn’t read “Ice Cube’s a pimp” like in the classic lyrics to the track, but they settled for the title of the track to read across the huge blimp in the sky flying over sunny Los Angeles.
The celebration came two days ago, on the 20th (the mythical day that was thought Cube wrote the song on) and only after $25,000 was raised for charity. The money went to South Central youth organization A Place Called Home and even a few of the kids that work for them got to ride the blimp as the words flashed on the screen.
What a great story. Ice Cube, you did it bro!
