Look for ‘Divorce’ on HBO next Sunday!
Sarah Jessica Parker is making her grand return to television this month, alongside Thomas Haden Church for the new comedy series, Divorce. However, with six years removed the last time we saw her as the alter-ego, Carrie Marie Bradshaw, Sarah recently opened up on the cast being open to reviving the series for another run. She went to say, “I don’t think any of us have said no.
I don’t know whether it’s a series or the movie. I think that remains an open question and discussion that will continue until it’s been resolved. I think that’s always a possibility, definitely.”
However, while Mrs. Parker has been open to the idea of the series returning, fellow co-star Kim Cattrall isn’t so sure about the show being received in today’s climate. In an interview with the Daily Record over the summer, she went to say, “To have four women talking about shopping trips and spending $400 on shoes when people are having trouble putting food on the table? It doesn’t mean we don’t need that but I think the pendulum swung in a different direction.
Everyone is doing their own thing and if it was going to happen, it would have happened by now. It could be fun though. To say goodbye completely to Samantha would be pretty hard.” Well, with its two leading ladies at least contemplating ideas for the series, if it ever does come back in theatrical or mini-series form, we’re hopeful the creators keep its legacy in-tact.
