The Internet is a dangerous place where things can appear real to the naked eye and sometimes you can’t tell if they’re actually fake or not. That brings us to this video by HUVrTech where well-known celebrities are riding what appears to be a hoverboard straight from the classic film, Back To The Future.
They even got the legend Christopher Lloyd, who played Doc Brown in the film, for the ad to discuss the hoverboard. Though it all looks very real, many (including us), are doubting the validity of this invention. TechCrunch did some digging and found that the company was indeed fake, but went to extreme lengths to make this look legitimate.
UPDATE: Christopher Lloyd confessed that this video was indeed fake.
They snagged some A-list celebs for the ad that includes Tony Hawk, Schoolboy Q, Terrell Owens and more. With the celebs involved it’s starting to make us think that this troll has a bigger meaning behind it and could be involved in some sort of marketing scheme by a larger company. Is Back To The Future 4 on the way? Is Nike about to drop another Marty McFly shoe? We will all have to wait and see.
