Would you want J-Law back for the next X-Men trilogy?
Last year, reports surfaced that Jennifer Lawrence was ready to leave the X-Men Universe after the release of Apocalypse. Since joining the brand in 2011, J-Law has portrayed X-Men anti-hero Mystique; but her role may come to an end after the natural prequel trilogy ends next month.
With talks of Game of Thrones star Maisie Williams set to join the brand, Jennifer’s spot in the XMU may have gotten taken. While complaining that her makeup takes nearly 8 hours for the head-turning character, she’s had an abrupt change of heart – after speaking recently with Empire Online.
During the interview, she went to say “I am dying to come back. I love these movies; I love being in them. I love ensemble movies because it’s not on anyone’s shoulders.” It still remains unclear if Fox and director Bryan Singer would be willing to bring her back for the next X-Men trilogy, but she definitely lost out on having a potential stand-alone project of her own like Channing Tatum’s long-delayed Gambit and Ryan Reynolds’ sequel for the 2016 R-Rated hit, Deadpool.
