Meet ‘Shades of Blue’!
Before Jennifer Lopez assumes her imminent role of Griselda Blanco in the coming years, she re-starts her mainstream acting career next year with the upcoming NBC series, Shades of Blue. The crime-drama is drawing some awkward comparison to Brooklyn 99 (for whatever reasons) and is one of the standout new mid-season winter pilots you can look for at the top of the year.
Above, we’re introduced to Harlee Santos (J-Lo), who balances motherhood and being a New York detective. While dealing with financial issues, she falls into the likes of a dirty cop collective, taking bribes and protection money to provide for her daughter.
While doing NY corruption, Harlee is forced to coincidentally work for the FBI’s anti-corruption task force and is unfortunately caught in a bind. The alphabet boys want her to inform on her own brothers, as she’ll try her best to honor all parties involved, while maintain her freedom.
Also starring the legendary Ray Liotta, look for Shades of Blue to arrive January 7th on NBC.
