A mini-Seinfeld reunion
Who know if the season six premiere of Comedians In Cars Getting Coffee was done because of the new Veep season, because of Seinfeld coming to Hulu or just because Jerry wanted to meet with Julia Louis-Dreyfus, but either way it’s golden.
Considering we’ve never watched these two interact besides what we saw on TV, their dynamic is interesting. They act like a married couple almost, or at the very least, like old lovers that separated on good terms and reunited for the first time in years. The two were genuinely happy to see each other and couldn’t stop complimenting each other, giving each other love taps and finishing each other’s sentences. They looked like they were just enjoying each other’s company and didn’t want it to end.
The entire episode turned into a “remember this” conversation where they reminisced on good times during the Seinfeld era as they talked about some of the most memorable episodes and things they did back then. It was very refreshing to hear insight on scripts that never made the cut, how they met and what they remember.
