‘Race’ Opens in 2016
Stephan James played his biggest role to date in last year’s Grammy Award-winning Selma. Now, he’s starring in the upcoming sports drama Race.
The movie is set in the 1930s and follows the life of Jesse Owens, an African-American athlete who overcomes adversity to win four gold medals at the 1936 Berlin Olympic Games, while breaking records in the process. Race hits theaters February 19th and also stars Jason Sudeikis, Jeremy Irons, William Hurt, Amanda Crew and Carice van Houten.
The first trailer is soundtracked by Raury’s “Devil’s Whisper,” which is taken from his new album All We Need.
