Jimmy Fallon’s Tribute to David Letterman on “The Tonight Show”

Goodbye Letterman

David Letterman‘s time on late night television is drawing to a close and everyone has been lining up to say goodbye to him on his show and outside of it. Although Jimmy Fallon is now the host of The Tonight Show and in a competing time slot, there is no animosity towards each other, on the contrary, Jimmy has the utmost respect for Dave.

During a segment on his show last night, he took the time to say his peace with Letterman, giving his take on what it was like to appear on Late Show for the last time, what he remembers most about him and how he’s inspired him to do what he does every night.

Apparently, a teacher predicted in 8th grade that he would replace Dave on the show and even though it didn’t happen, she came damn close to guessing his career growing up.
