Director David Gordon Green enlists the talents of Academy Award winning actor Nicolas Cage to lead the way for the adaptation of Larry Brown’s novel, “Joe”, and it will premiere in the United States March 9th at South by Southwest in Austin, TX.
Cage’s performance is being called one of his best in quite some time, as he consumes himself in the character, Joe Ransom, an ex-con attempting to stay away from the long arm of the law, until meeting a kid who has been down on his luck, living in a toxic environment at home. The kid the movie revolves around is played by 17-year-old actor Tye Sheridan, who you may remember starred in “Mud” alongside Matthew McConaughey in 2012. Just from watching the trailer we can see Nicolas Cage is a man possessed and we’re excited to see him in the highly-anticipated role.
The film will also have a limited release nationwide April 11th.
