Last night, XXL revealed their controversial 2013 freshman cover, with young Brooklyn spitter Joey Bada$$ pictured rocking a special Ecko Untld t-shirt in remembrance of Pro Era MC, Capital Steez. Joey went in with the team over at Ecko to create a 1 of 1 piece designed specifically for the XXL cover, featuring a very unique red,black and green colorway t-shirt, taking some inspiration from Ecko designer Tony Whign famous New York City R.I.P Steelo mural. The tee also features the number “47” on the back, a number that Steez often referenced in his lyrics and the word “Balance” branded on the upper, which represents Steelo as a MC.
