In 2010, Michael Rapaport enjoyed one of the highlights of his career: winning the MVP at the NBA celebrity All-Star game. It was a grandiose time for the actor, who had seven fouls and even committed a technical during the match.
In 2011, the hype was behind him but it was stolen by a young singer by the name of Justin Bieber, who created shots off the dribble, hit threes and tossed alley-oops.
That year, the Biebs took home the MVP trophy and ended Rapaport’s streak.
Ever since that moment, Michael has been haunted by Justin. He would practice basketball every day with his son in hopes to one day see JB on the basketball court and show him who the real MVP was. He chased him at concerts backstage and tried to act like everything was all good, when he was literally dying inside. The memories of losing the MVP to Bieber was too much to bare.
Until he finally got the chance to see him on the court one-on-one. More Than A Game is the story of Michael Rapaport and his quest to beat Justin Bieber at basketball. There’s only one problem. His quest fell miserably short. He got the opportunity and ruined it.
