Kanye West was everywhere this year, but if you think about it, a lot of it had nothing to do with his music. Yeezy was visible thanks to his contributions to the world of fashion, where he reached new heights thanks to the release of his collection and adidas collaboration.
The YEEZY BOOST’s were actually named “Shoe Of The Year,” so you know he’s proud of what he did this year. Shit, people dissect what he wears on the daily and mimic his style regardless of what he does. It’s no surprise that he’s been named GQ’s “Most Stylish Man” of 2015.
GQ votes were tallied and the rounds have proven that Yeezy deserved the award for the second year in a row and he can thank the support of his Kardashian family for putting him over the top against Lucky Blue Smith. Kanye had to battle the likes of JAY Z, Kit Harrington and Jared Leto to make it to the finals but those Kim, Kris, Khloe and Kourtney tweets gave him the landslide win.
Meanwhile, rap fans only got “All Day” and are still waiting for SWISH to come out at some point in the foreseeable future. There is no definitive date as to when the effort might drop, so all folks can do at this point is wait for ‘Ye to set some time apart from his family and fashion aspirations so he can finish the record. Maybe 2016 is when that happens.
