Kobe Bryant has accomplished a whole lot with the game of basketball with the Los Angeles Lakers. He won multiple championships across 20 years in the game. He won MVP awards, made countless All-Star games, broke records and is going down as one of the best of all time.

The Black Mamba has been making short films for ESPN and one of them, Dear Basketball, has received an Oscar nomination. The clip is based on his 2015 poem announcing his retirement, and was nominated in the Animated Short category for the awards. Disney animator Glen Keane was also nominated for the film.
