Jalen Rose will never live down the fact that Kobe Bryant scored 81 points against him when he played for the Toronto Raptors. It was perhaps one of Kobe’s greatest performances as a Los Angeles Laker and Rose has had to endure an obscene amount of jokes since then.
It’s gotten to the point where he has embraced the hate and even jokes on himself for it.
ABC passed up a comedy pilot by JR, but ESPN has picked up the episode and will air it on the network tomorrow at 7:30pm. In this promo spot for the upcoming special, Jalen happens to catch the Black Mamba out in a restaurant and they chop it up a bit about how life is going. A waiter then asks Kobe how many olives he’d like in his drink and he had to say 81 to twist the knife into Jalen’s heart.
