LAUGHING ALL THE WAY TO THE BANK!
The name LeBron James and Nike are synonymous with each other at this point, considering the superstar athlete has been with the company for the past 13 years of his career.
Today, the two made history.
It is being reported that King James and Nike have now inked a lifetime deal that is now the largest financial arrangement in lifetime of the company. According to reports, it will surpass Kevin Durant‘s $30 million/yr over a 10-year period by multiple times, meaning he will probably make more off this deal than what he already makes from playing basketball and other endorsement deals he has, combined.
Just last year, LBJ shoe sales topped the $340 million dollar mark.
UPDATE: USA TODAY reports the swoosh brand ambassador’s deal could be “worth significantly more than the $500 million,” but at the least, worth more than 30 million annually. The first ever lifetime deal in the history of the brand is looking beyond monumental. We’ll keep you updated on the final numbers on the deal when they surface.
