As Will Smith and Martin Lawrence continue to ponder whether they’ll be involved with Bad Boys III, 20th Century Fox decided they should have their own take in the genre with Let’s Be Cops. The Luke Greenfield-directed action comedy film, centers on two friends in their early 30s who pretend to be police officers. Starring Jake Johnson (New Girl) and Damon Wayans, Jr. (Happy Endings, and also currently New Girl), the pair needs some excitement to their underachieving life and finds some adventure in the process initially with their real police vehicle purchased from Ebay, until things take a quick turn. Their costume party has a detour when Ryan and Justin encounter dirty detectives and mobsters, which they must decide whether to put their fake badges on the line.
