No more vice city tales for the time being
If you thought Universal Pictures were joking around about potentially remaking the 1983 timeless classic, Scarface, the billion-dollar company is closer to making this thing a reality.
A few weeks ago, reports surfaced that Antoine Fuqua, director of Training Day, would be holding the chair for the upcoming Tony Montana 21st century project.
However, now it’s also been revealed that screenwriter, Terrence Winter (see: The Wolf of Wall Street, The Sopranos, Boardwalk Empire) will also take on the upcoming blockbuster.
Unfortunately, Scarface is being taken out of its traditional Vice City surrounds in Miami and will now move to Los Santos for a jab at Hollywood. While more details regarding the film haven’t surfaced, including a potential successor to Al Pacino’s iconic role, we’re open to at least listening from the director and screenwriter – given their legendary track record.
