A couple weeks ago at the Balenciaga 2014 Spring/Summer showing, Grammy award winning singer/song-writer M.I.A revealed that she would be giving the world a preview of her collaboration collection with high-end Italian brand Versace in the coming weeks. As promised, today M.I.A and Versace give us the first look at their joint offering, calling on the brands more vibrant sub-line “Versus” as the design canvas for the pieces. M.I.A took some inspiration from some bootleg Versace products she found in London as a teen and decided to put her own personal style-preference detail to them as well as Versace’s.
The collection consist of variety of Versace’s signature silk pieces with an unique M.I.A twist; including shirts, dresses, jeans, and much more. Certain pieces from the collection are available for both men and women, and then will hit the Versace retailers October 16th, as well their online shop.
