Watch the debut ‘Shots Fired’ trailer
With the exception of Lethal Weapon and The Exorcist, Fox Broadcasting Company has reiterated its desire to have original programming on its network – in comparison to its competitors.
During its fall prime-time schedule press release rollout earlier this week, Fox Networks shared the premiere trailer for an upcoming 2017 drama event series, Shots Fired.
The series focuses on a racially charged shooting in a fictional North Carolina town, which results in a media storm arriving, after an African-American cop kills a white teenager. Mack Wilds assumes the role of shooter, Officer Joshua Belk, as investigators search for the truth in the controversial tale.
Also starring Sanaa Lathan, Helen Hunt, Richard Dreyfuss, Stephen Moyer, Will Patton and Jill Hennessy, look for Shots Fired to arrive during mid-season 2017 on Fox.
