MADtv is officially making a comeback!

Last January, MADtv celebrated its 20th anniversary, with a reunion special on The CW. With good ratings, respectable feedback and the on-going trend of revivals this year, the network has decided to move forward with an official eight-episode series order. The reboot, which is will be leaving its late night roots for primetime, is expected to feature special appearances from returning members to host hour-long installments – with new cast mates that will be revealed at a later date.

Although there’s no premiere set for the upcoming new season, the Emmy-winning show is rumored to be seeing a weeknight shift as well. We’ll keep you updated in the coming months regarding the new incarnation of MAD, now on CW Network.
