Marvel Casts Morena Baccarin as Female Lead for ‘Deadpool’

‘Deadpool’ is inching closer to becoming a reality

Former star of Showtime’s Homeland and current actress on FOX’s new hit-series Gotham, Morena Baccarin has been tapped to star in the highly-anticipated X-Men spin-off, Deadpool. The Brazilian beauty now stars opposite of Ryan Reynolds (Wade Wilson / Deadpool), but her role surprisingly hasn’t been revealed yet. The upcoming 20th Century Fox-distributed film has been in the works for well over 15 years and principle filming is scheduled to being this March in Vancouver, Canada. With X-Men member Colossus, also set to appear in the blockbuster project, look for Deadpool to arrive February 12, 2016 – also staring T.J. Miller, Ed Skrein and Gina Carano.
