The Doctor is in!
Earlier this month, it was revealed that actor Benedict Cumberbatch had been tapped to star in Doctor Strange. Today, Marvel Entertainment gave Entertainment Weekly a first glimpse into Cumberbatch’s new superhero look for the upcoming 2016 motion picture.
While filming is in preliminary stages across the UK, as well as London, New York and Hong Kong; concept art was also revealed to fans during the formal unveiling of Marvel’s Sorcerer Supreme.
Benedict went to tell the publication, “I’m still in the infancy of learning all that. It was like, okay, I’ve got to keep throwing these poses, these spells, these rune-casting things, everything he does physically. I’m thinking, there’s going to be a huge amount of speculation and intrigue over the positioning of that finger as opposed to it being there, or there. And I’m still working on that.
We haven’t played any of those scenes yet. I felt really self-conscious. But, then, by the end, it was great. It’s like anything, you just have to experiment.” Rachel McAdams and Mads Mikkelsen also star in the film, but their roles are yet to be fully disclosed from the comic-book company.
