X-Men: Apocalypse
With Hugh Jackman, Halle Berry and the original cast of the X-Men from year’s past gone from the series, 20th Century Fox is looking to continue its series with James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender and Jennifer Lawrence. However, with uncertainty regarding the direction of the franchise, fans like ourselves are uncertain if the upcoming release of X-Men: Apocalypse will leave intrigue for future efforts of the Marvel Comics series. While there has been buzz surrounding the upcoming ninth installment of the film franchise, we question whether X-Men as a whole will be able to survive without The Wolverine – who’s receiving its last with Jackman spring 2017.
Directors have reiterated multiple times that there’s no recasting for Wolverine, so we’re not sure how long fans will have to wait to see one of their favorite heroes in live-action again. With the most powerful mutant awaiting to show its face to the world in May, Apocalypse will be a deciding factor if fans will still be interested for the series.
Look for X-Men: Apocalypse to invade theaters on May 27, 2016.
