After months of teasing their latest electronic product, Samsung Electronics has released an 110-inch Ultra HDTV today. The new television set has four times the resolution of current standard high-definitions and now serves as the largest home HDTV currently on the market.
Samsung previously released an 85-inch U-HD TV priced in the $40,000 range, but now the new 110-inch U-HD TV (4K) is currently priced at $152,000 in China, the Middle East and Europe. Samsung previously tapped into the OLED (organic light-emitting diode) TV market, but failed to make the innovation mainstream. They’re hoping to avoid a similar outcome with U-HD TV, which we can expect a drastic price drop for its North American roll-out.
