Microsoft is dropping the price of all Xbox 360s by $50. At least for now, that means the lowest 360 model (lacking a hard drive and HDMI cable) is cheaper than a Nintendo Wii.
Xbox 360 Arcade – $199
Xbox 360 Pro – $299
Xbox 360 Elite – $399
Sony Playstation 2 9000 Series models have also started to appear on U.S. store shelves this week for $129. The new model retains the same dimensions as the previous 7000 slim series, but has an integrated power supply, so there is no need for an external “power brick” anymore. Stores might drop the price on the older models that they have left in stock, but for now it seems they are listed at the same price.
