The Giver
Starring Jeff Bridges, Meryl Streep, Katie Holmes and Taylor Swift among others, The Giver looks to be one of the more intriguing affairs this weekend. Director Phillip Noyce’s social science fiction film comes to life centering on a young man by the name of Jonas (Thwaites), who initially lives in a colorless world until he spends time with The Giver (Bridges).
The 16-year-old soon unravels a dark secret past his forefathers implemented to have a stable society and soon finds out some truth behind the world’s past he didn’t want to find out. So far the film’s been met with both positive and mediocre ratings, but we’re assuming the cast of actors should give enough intrigue for movie goers to give a second glance.
