Bridge of Spies
Based on the infamous 1960 U-2 incident, Tom Hanks, Mark Rylance, Amy Ryan, and Alan Alda star in Bridge of Spies. Disney and 20th Century Fox rollout the project this weekend internationally, which the historical dramatic thriller project is one of the more anticipates release this fourth quarter. After shooting down U.S. pilot Francis Gary Powers’ U-2 spy plane, the Soviet Union captures him and sentences him to 10 years in prison. The only way the detained pilot has hope of returning to United Sates soil, is in the hands of Brooklyn lawyer James B. Donovan.
Surprisingly, the drama-thriller is the highest rated release this weekend, which has received positive reviews from critics and fans. While the task of Donovan returning Powers home remains to be seen, but we’re sure the cast and movie title will gain second looks this weekend.
