My Old Lady
British-American comedy-drama film, My Old Lady has been receiving much attention from the hardcore movie world. With the new release serving as Israel Horovitz’s directorial debut after years of working as playwright and screenwriter, the new movie centers on more Americans who travel to Paris (see: previously detailed films releasing this weekend). Starring Maggie Smith, Kevin Kline, Kristin Scott Thomas and Dominique Pinon among others, the film is fresh from its Toronto International Film Festival premiere last weekend and was immediately given a green light to release stateside by BBC Films and Curzon Group.
Outside of the cliché storyline of a New Yorker who inheriting fortune he never knew excited, the valuable apartment spans into creating an unlikely love relationship provided by an old woman next door for her daughter.
