Movies To Watch This Weekend (September 19)

The Maze Runner

Temple Hill Entertainment and 20th Century Fox may sadly have the closest thing to a block buster film we’ve seen since last spring. While the summer lacked big attraction movies to persuade casual goers to the theaters over the last 3 months, The Maze Runner sees its film inception after 5 years in the works.

Starring Dylan O’Brien, Kaya Scodelario, Thomas Brodie-Sangster, and Will Poulter among many others; the sci-fi and action-thriller release is being touted as the next big franchise. While a sequel has already been reported in the works, if the film can have more revenue than its $30 million budget; we’re sure fans will be the deciding factor for the next 72 hours at the box offices.

Although the premise reading in text may seem dull, Thomas (along with a group of friends) wake up trapped in a massive maze with no memory from their life. While the antagonist group W.C.K.D. may be behind their secluded isolation, Thomas and company soon unravel clues from their past to try and find a way to escape.
