Our Brand Is Crisis
10 years following the original documentary, Our Brand Is Crisis is finally given a proper theatrical release. Seen last winter at the Toronto International Film Festival, Sandra Bullock’s comedy-drama gem reaches the masses after its successful independent rollout. Also starring Scoot McNairy, Billy Bob Thornton, Anthony Mackie and Ann Dowd – the film centers on Jane, an American-woman in sent to South America to deal with foreign politics. While her task doesn’t seem life-threatening, initially, she looks to help revive a Bolivian presidential candidate’s campaign.
However, during her quest to save his polls, Jane comes across her lifelong nemesis, Pat Candy, who’s coincidentally working for their political enemy. We’re assuming on Bullock’s name alone for the film to have success, but we’re still having second questions whether the masses will enjoy this sarcastic attempt to troll history.
