Criminal
With a film starring the likes of Ryan Reynolds, Kevin Costner, Gary Oldman and Tommy Lee Jones, we’re not sure how anyone could not enjoy Criminal. The 2-hour mystery thriller has been our radar since its first announcement in 2014, and Summit Entertainment investing $32 million into it is a heavy eye raiser. Luckily for them, we have an off-week of major block busters, which it should only have competition from one or two new titles over the next 72 hours.
The film centers on an operative mission that must be completed in the confines of a death row prison. CIA agent Bill Pope is murdered, on an initial trip to meet a secret hacker who can launch missiles at will, with his body mysteriously missing. His friends and former co-workers turn to the unlikely source, previously mentioned, providing the inmate with his memories, secrets and skills to stop a plot. If you’re not intrigued for basketball this weekend, definitely check this one out.
