Sing Street
After its world premiere at January’s Sundance Film Festival, John Carney’s musical-comedy drama film, Sing Street, finally arrives to theater. Surprisingly, the movie has received great reviews, considering its a musical, but we’re assuming because it stands out in comparison to its competitors.
The film centers on a 1980s Dublin youth named Cosmo, who escapes his estranged family to start a band in London. However, his intentions of leaving a broken home aren’t the only goals on Cosmo’s mind, as he also looks to win the heart of an aspiring model. Whether or not he’s successful remains a mystery, but we’re sure movie goers will be intrigued to give this one a second look.
