Mistress America
Originally premiered at the 2015 Sundance Film Festival last January, Mistress America finally hits theaters tonight. The comedy-film starring Greta Gerwig (also writer) Lola Kirke, Heather Lind, and Cindy Cheung has been one of our more anticipated theatrical releases this summer. Set in New York, the movie centers on a lonely college freshman away from home, as her life is turned upside down by a promiscuous soon-to-be stepsister. While Lola may be disappointed in a new situation she didn’t originally envision, the wackiness Greta provides for the fast-paced comedy just a few blocks down her school in Times Square.
