Ricki and the Flash
One of our favorite releases this month and probably year is Meryl Streep’s new project, Ricki and the Flash. The legendary beauty assumes the role as Ricki Rendazzo, a mother of three, who became famous at the expense of abandoning her family. With an ex-husband willing to forgive and three previous children all grown up, Ricki returns home to Indianapolis to face the music – no pun intended. While her family may be hesitant to give her second chance, Ms. Rendazzo must help her estranged daughter through the most difficult time in her life and reconnect with a son whose set to get married. The comedy-drama also starring Mamie Gummer, Kevin Kline, Sebastian Stan, Rick Springfield, Audra McDonald, and Ben Platt is definitely not one of the new releases to miss this week if you’re all caught up with content from July.
