Star Wars: The Force Awakens
It’s been over a decade since the last entry into the main Star Wars series, but Episode VII has finally arrived. The anticipation and build for Star Wars: The Force Awakens has been something we haven’t seen in a long-time for a motion picture, and is living up to the hype from advanced showings and movie goers seeing the film in premiere events throughout the week.
The new movie centers on 30 years after the original defeat of the Galactic Empire, Han Solo and his allies soon face a new threat from The First Order, as they attempt to rule the galaxy at the helm of Kylo Ren leading an evil army of Stormtroopers.
While those on the ground look to Han Solo to lead them, they receive help from the Resistance to save freedom in humanity. Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures has already dumped $200 million into its budget, along with a possibly more expensive promotional campaign this fall, as Lucasfilm expects to heavily recoup the hefty investment in just a week.
This is an absolute must-see film this weekend, if you’re home for the holidays.
