The Big Short
One of the more intriguing films out this holiday weekend, is The Big Short. Paramount Pictures has invested a serious amount of money for the new film starring Christian Bale, Steve Carell, Ryan Gosling, and Brad Pitt – which is one of the biggest gems of the year.
Just whether or not movie goers will make Inside the Doomsday Machine a success like its original 6-month reign on the New York Times best-seller list remains to be seen. The film centers on the economy collapse of the mid-2000s, as four outsiders in the world of high-finance decide to take advantage of big banks. After predicting the credit and housing bubble collapse at the time, the quadrants greed increases at a level that puts that at risk at the possibility of being caught.
So far, the reviews on this one have been overwhelming in the green, as theaters will have one of the more underrated gems of the entire year this weekend.
