With Black History month coming to an end in a matter of days, we get a theatrical treat that actually makes sense. Tonight, the biographical sports-drama story of Jesse Owens and his record-breaking four gold medals victory at the 1936 Berlin Olympic Games is detailed.
While there’s obvious road blocks and hurdles in his way (no pun intended), to accomplish some unbelievable milestones no African American could imagine. So far, the track-and-field story is already garnering some heavy buzz, but we still have questions if it’ll be OSCAR worthy next year. For now, we’ll just have to give the film a look before putting it in elite company.
