We’re always up for a thriller film with action and drama elements, and Standoff should cater those needs to some of you caught up with fresh releases and DVR this winter. Starring Laurence Fishburne and Thomas Jane, the film centers on a troubled veteran by the name of Carter – who looks to get a second chance in life with unusual circumstances. After Bird, 12-year-old girl who witnessed a murder, he must protect her from an assassin, who’s in an all-out pursuit of ensuring he’s in the clear. As the two play a game of cat-and-mouse of physical and psychological warfare, Bird’s livelihood will meet a crossroads in the midst of danger.
