Regression
Originally premiered at the San Sebastián International Film Festival last September, Regression finally makes it way to theaters. Starring Ethan Hawke and Emma Watson with David Thewlis, Lothaire Bluteau, Dale Dickey, David Dencik, Peter MacNeill, Devon Bostick and Aaron Ashmore; the film takes place in 1990s Minnesota. Detective Bruce Kenner is called to investigate a usual case of a girl named Angela being sexually abused by her father John Gray. In the midst of the case, the 17-year-old has no recollection of being abused, but Bruce discover a satanic cult and human sacrifice rituals – while trying to regain her memory. This psychological thriller horror film took some time to make its way to the big screen, which we’re hoping has a soon-after digital rollout.
