Last weekend, the entertainment world witnessed another box office flop, as Independence Day: Resurgence failed to debut as the no. 1 film in the country. The highly budgeted film from 20th Century Fox generated only $41 million in its opening weekend, as Finding Dory spent a second week as the top film. With no legitimate threats in sight to remove F.D. from its place as the top grosser, we surprisingly have a large list of quality releases this weekend.
