Movies To Watch This Weekend (July 17, 2015)

Disney still hurting from Tomorrowland, though

Over the last three months, Universal Pictures has seen their three biggest releases in its history with the deployments of Jurassic World, Furious 7 and last weekend’s box office killer Minions generating $400 million worldwide. With both Self/Less and The Gallows heavily under-performing post-Independence Day weekend, Universal sat atop the throne once again. However, tonight Disney and Marvel are looking to tap into their dominant market with the obvious release of their summer blockbuster pictured above. With it’s comic-book cohort Fantastic Four arriving three weeks later, Marvel will be looking to heavily recoup some money before the beginning of fall in a few weeks.
