The Land
Nas finally steps back into the theatrical world tonight, as skateboarding produced film, The Land, arrives to masses tonight. The 2-hour long drama centers on four inner-city teens in the city of Cleveland, who face the wrath of a local crime boss after stealing a car stashed with drugs.
In the midst of pursing a dream life of professional skateboarding outside of the streets of Ohio, their brotherhood is put to test when lives are threatened in the craziest summer they could expect. Given critics giving it all appraisal so far and original indie festival lovers giving it two thumbs up, this could be an overlooked gem this third quarter. We just wish it came to video-on-demand.
